Random Thoughts
1. So I was going through some random youtube stuff today when I saw the Voltron getting served video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWF-thFLbyA) which somehow reminded me of the ending sequence of Melancholy, with them doing thier dance. Which somehow made me think of the Masquerades that conventions do. Now, for some reason, I tend to believe it would be cool to see people do the dance at the end in person; but as the anime is not even close to entering the US market, you’ll need something to make people actually like it. Therefore, you would need a second dancing group, for them to dance aganist, in a battle of the best dancers of anime. Now, it couldn’t be something reasonable, as gosh darn it, comedy rules; therefore, I think using the Full Metal Alchemist people would work, in particlar Major Armstrong and Al. And to make it better, the FMA crew would completely screw up, with Al squishing someone to death after he trips. Depending on time constraints, you could even have the King of Cosmos from Kalamari make a guest apperence, getting yet another dancing team (or a tournament), which would lead to either some really random character killing the King (Alucard from Hellsing? So many poosabilites) or yet a third team entering, though I would lean towards someone killing the King and everyone deciding that the scene was just getting too absurd, and were going to leave to get some pocky or something. But that’s just me.
2. Speaking of youtube, if you ever wanted to see the Japanese opening of the original Mobile Suit Gundam show (what, you never heard of it? Shame on you!) well here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsZyY_2T30U And people wonder why it was canceled 10 episodes early.
3. I think the long term plan for my postings will be to review either the Gundam shows I’ve watched or the shows watched last yeaar, but more than likely, I’ll be lazy and just watch random shows. Bah.
4. Ok, I’m really looking forward to the last four episodes of Melancholy; it’s a shame it has to end, but it should be interesting how they resolve it, as it’s one really fun but messed-up show. Well, till next time…
