Devil May Cry Review
I actually meant to get to this one this past semester, but that didn’t really work out. I for one have never played the video games, but after some quick research on good old wikipedia I was able to know the backstory. It’s a nice 13 episode action series, that doesn’t really focus on the main story until episode 12. When episode 12 came some things made sense that occurred throughout the series. Dante is still the main character and Lady and Trish make appearances as well. This action anime focuses on what it is, action. Plenty of blood and guts, with some character development here and there. There is also a little girl that follows Dante around, but besides that I felt fulfilled. I did think it was a bit short, but I prefer things to be cut short instead of being dragged out.
I give it a 3.5/5.

As many can notice the blog was practically dead this past semester. I just wanted to know who is interested so I can get you all set up so you can start taking over. I might, and I stress might, be able to restart the anime news for the week of again. Also, seeing how the e-board is going abroad I thought this would be the best time for members to take part in this blog.

Anime News Update
Since nothing seems to be happening this week in the anime world, I might as well just post this to let everyone know that I do plan on continuing it. I’ll just change it from every week, to every week whenever there is something going on. It also doesn’t help that the main website I use to gather information AnimeNewsNetwork.com, is down for some reason this week. All I can really report right now is that there is going to be a spin off manga from Genshiken and another spinoff manga for the upcoming Gundam 00 anime, but I don’t know anything more than that. Stupid internets, why do they fail every time I need it… Maybe Senator Stevens is right about the internets…
And I hope everyone enjoyed the three reviews I wrote. That was probably a one time thing… I’ll continue to write reviews like that I just can’t be sure when the next one will be up. I am watching a few things now and maybe I’ll feel like writing reviews for them to.
Darker Than Black Review
Another action based anime, but this one is different I swear. Instead of one long story line, this anime is divided up into bi-episodic stories. That’s right instead of one long storyline, every two episodes gives you clues as to what the “big picture” is. I’ve enjoyed it over the summer, although I will admit I haven’t been keeping up to date with it. I’m slowly catching up to where it’s at today. And the main anime cliche, it takes place in Tokyo.
